We are happy to report that the 2008 Sterling Silver Select Pinzgauer female sale, held at the Silver Bullet Cattle Co. in Cedar Hill, TN on May 23-24, 2008, was a great success. We invited some of the best breeders in the U.S. to consign females to this sale including: Rockin A & J Pinzgauers, Auburn, WA; Twin Springs Pinzgauers, Springfield, TN, Erickson Pinzgauer Farm, Neenah, WI, Bowles Creek Cattle Co., Alto, TX, KenMar Farms, Fort Payne, AL, Pleasant River Farm, Windham, ME and Silver Bullet Cattle.

Twenty three buyers from ten states purchased 50 lots of cattle with a sale average of $ 1,856.

The highlights of the sale follow:

• High-selling Cow/calf pair was HPR Converters Chloe, consigned by Silver Bullet, and sold to Twin Springs Pinzgauer, Springfield, TN for $ 2,800.
• High-selling Bred Cow as DSP Erica, consigned by Twin Spring Pinzgauer and sold to Rockin A & J Pinzgauers, Auburn, WA, for $ 4,000.
• High-selling Bred Heifer was HPR Eikons Penni, consigned by Silver Bullet Cattle and sold to Bowles Creek Cattle, Alto, TX for $ 3,600.
• High-selling Open Heifer was AJPR Hi Class, consigned by Rockin A & J Pinzgauers and sold to Silver Bullet Cattle for $ 2,500.
• Volume buyer was Bowles Creek Cattle, Alto, TX, with six lots for $ 14,400
• Buyers were from the following states: Tennessee, Washington, Wisconsin, Ohio, Texas, Maine, Missouri, Pennsylvania, Indiana and Texas.
• The winner of the 2007 Sterling Silver Futurity was announced as Shannon Johanson, Toledo, WA, with SB Slams Honor. Shannon was awarded a belt buckle and $ 500. See there photo below.
• An open heifer was donated by Silver Bullet Cattle to assist the NWPA Juniors with their National Show. The heifer sold for $1,100 and along with other donations, a total of $1,700 was raised for the juniors.
